24 Months (otherwise known as 2 years)

Jeff and I took Monday off to spend the day with Ella for her Birthday. After a quick breakfast at the Woodshed, we headed over to the zoo.

Ella feeding the birds. The last time we tried this, she immediately dropped the stick over the side. This time was more successful.

After I showed her how to pick the birds up with the sticks, she was no longer interested in feeding them.

Riding the horsies.

Riding the train.

The Birthday Girl with her flowers.

Blowing bubbles.

Ella getting her requested Birthday meal- pizza! And to sweeten the deal, I ordered tomato soup so she could dop it.

Birthday ice cream! She actually didn't eat very much of it, thank goodness. She's not used to sugar and she was a little crazy afterward.

What a mess! After pizza, tomato soup, and ice cream, that shirt will never be the same.

Ella requested to go shopping after ice cream, so we took her into a little kid shop in the Highlands. She chose this hat. I think it was a good choice.

Finishing our day at the Sprint store picking up Jeff's repaired phone. Ella actually loves it there. The people are so nice to her and she loves playing with all the phones.

We had a great day celebrating Ella's Birthday. We tried to let her dictate the day as much as possible, with a little gentle direction from Mom and Dad. I think she really enjoyed it too as evidenced by the complete lack of melt downs or temper tantrums. She keeps saying "Birthday coming soon?", to which I've just been mumbling something about in another year. Hopefully that will hold her over until she can start getting excited about Halloween and Christmas!
