Yesterday morning was overcast and rainy, so we spent the morning playing inside. When Ella (finally) went down for her morning nap, Jeff and I went and drove around the island for a while and then went to lunch. After she woke up from her second nap, the rain had cleared, so we went out to the beach. It was a really nice day. There was a good breeze and it wasn't very hot. Because of the storms, the water was pretty choppy and Ella did not like the waves. We tried for a few minutes to take her back out into the water, but she wasn't having it. So we went back up to the beach and played in the sand just where the tide was coming it. She loved this. She kept picking up handfuls of sand and just staring at it running through her fingers. She also seemed to be able to get really good traction on the sand because she was crawling all over the place.
