Ella and Grandpa. It's hard to tell from this picture, but her face is covered in dirt. Apparently she face planted in Cindy's backyard, but it didn't slow her down much.
Jeff's Grandmother's Birthday was June
22 and we went to Santa Fe for a
memorial service and to have her ashes placed with her husband's at the
National Cemetery. Jeff and I decided to stay in Santa Fe Thursday and
Friday night since we haven't really spent much time there. We rented a
little casita several blocks from the town center. It was close enough
to walk, which was good because there aren't many places to park. It
was fun walking all around Santa Fe, you really do see a lot more stuff
that way. It was hotter than we anticipated though. But as they say, at
least it was a dry heat. We had some great food and Jeff enjoyed all the
local breweries.
Saturday
we headed back to ABQ. We had breakfast with Jeff's cousins and then a
big dinner with his family and family friends that night. It was a short
trip, but packed with family and fun.
