ABQ, Santa Fe, and 20 Months

Ella sitting in the window at the restaurant while we were having breakfast.
Us and Jeff's cousin Arielle and her new baby Stetson at lunch.

We did a lot of walking in Santa Fe and traded off carrying Ella in her carrier. It's the most we've used it and it was great.
Ella likes to look through the pictures we've taken on the camera screen and when she saw this one she said "Naked!". She is indeed naked, as usual. She put the tea kettle up on her shoulder like a bag and told us "bye, bye" and gave us kisses and hugs. She cracks me up!
Ella enjoying her first peach. She at the whole thing and then asked for more. Neither Jeff or I like peaches, so we were surprised she did. It reminded us we need to let her try things even if we don't care for them.
Ella and Uncle Dave. We were in his back yard looking for turtles. One finally came up on the porch and Ella was mesmerized. She did not understand why we couldn't pick him up.

Ella and Grandpa. It's hard to tell from this picture, but her face is covered in dirt. Apparently she face planted in Cindy's backyard, but it didn't slow her down much.

Jeff's Grandmother's Birthday was June 22 and we went to Santa Fe for a memorial service and to have her ashes placed with her husband's at the National Cemetery. Jeff and I decided to stay in Santa Fe Thursday and Friday night since we haven't really spent much time there. We rented a little casita several blocks from the town center. It was close enough to walk, which was good because there aren't many places to park. It was fun walking all around Santa Fe, you really do see a lot more stuff that way. It was hotter than we anticipated though. But as they say, at least it was a dry heat. We had some great food and Jeff enjoyed all the local breweries.
Saturday we headed back to ABQ. We had breakfast with Jeff's cousins and then a big dinner with his family and family friends that night. It was a short trip, but packed with family and fun.
